Project Management Officer (PMO)

Indonesia Posted 01 Sep 2026
About This Role

PT Smart Cakrawala Aviation operates flight training, fixed wing and rotary services across Indonesia, and is building its own digital capability alongside them. Several company programs run at the same time, across departments, and often depend on external approvals.

We are looking for a Project Management Officer to make those programs land. This is a hands on delivery role. You will spend more time clearing obstacles between departments than producing reports.

What You Will Do

  • Drive company programs from approval through to full implementation, including the period after go live
  • Build realistic plans that account for external dependencies such as regulatory approval, vendor lead time, and operational schedules
  • Secure a named owner for every workstream and follow through until each one is closed
  • Keep a clear record of decisions, open items, and anything agreed as temporary
  • Verify in the field that new procedures and systems are used as intended, not only that they were issued
  • Make sure every completed program has someone assigned to run it day to day before it is closed
  • Escalate stalled items early, with facts, to the level that can unblock them
  • Give management an honest view of program status, including bad news while it is still early

What We Are Looking For

  • At least 2 years running cross functional projects or programs, ideally in aviation or another regulated industry such as energy, maritime, healthcare, or manufacturing
  • Proven experience delivering a program that involved more than one department and at least one external party
  • Comfortable with operational people such as pilots and engineers, and with technical teams such as IT and developers
  • Able to read an approval requirement or regulation and turn it into a workable schedule
  • Clear written and spoken communication in Indonesian and English
  • Willing to travel to operational bases, including remote locations
  • Bachelor degree in Industrial Engineering, Management, Aviation Management, Engineering, or a related field

Good to Have

  • Background in flight operations, maintenance planning, training, or quality and safety
  • Experience supporting a system implementation from procurement through to daily use

What Success Looks Like

Within six months, programs that used to stall between departments close on schedule, management can see real status without having to ask, and nothing that was meant to be temporary is still open without an end date.
