Head of Legal

We're looking for someone to lead our legal team and advise management directly across our group of aviation businesses. You'll lead the legal team, work closely with management, and be the person they turn to for judgment, not just paperwork, someone who understands aviation regulation well enough to see risk before it becomes a problem and who can sit across the table in a high value negotiation and hold their own. As the group continues to grow across new business lines, you'll work closely with leadership to shape how legal is done here, coordinating outside counsel only where truly needed. Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts including aircraft acquisition and sale agreements, NCNDs, NDAs, training and services agreements, and partnership agreements, etc
• Advise on aviation regulatory compliance, including DGCA and Ministry of Transportation requirements, AOC related matters, and import/export and aircraft registration processes
• Manage corporate legal matters across the company's multiple lines of business, including entity governance, licensing, and permits
• Identify and mitigate legal and contractual risk in aviation asset transactions, partnerships, and vendor relationships
• Coordinate with and manage external counsel and notaries for specialized matters such as litigation, cross border escrow, and complex M&A
• Support HR and operations on employment law and internal policy matters as needed

Requirements

• Law degree (S.H. or equivalent), licensed to practice in Indonesia (PERADI or equivalent where relevant)
• 5 to 8 years of legal experience, with demonstrated aviation industry experience (airline, MRO, leasing, aircraft trading, or aviation regulatory body) required
• Strong track record in contract drafting and negotiation for high value transactions, aircraft, equipment, or asset acquisitions ideal
• Working knowledge of Indonesian aviation regulations (DGCA/Kemenhub) and general corporate and commercial law
• English fluency required for cross border contracts and negotiations, Bahasa Indonesia native or fluent
• Comfortable working across multiple legal entities and stakeholders in a lean, fast moving company
• Competency in managing the company’s Intellectual Property, covering intangible assets including Patent Rights, Industrial Property Rights, and other Intellectual Property Rights
